Janet Mortoo is a seasoned expert in international development with over 20 years of experience across Africa, notably in Ghana, Malawi, and Tanzania. She is passionate about devising sustainable solutions to development challenges and has dedicated recent years to enhancing the business environment for private sector growth, particularly focusing on start-ups and innovation. Before joining the European Commission, Janet gained valuable expertise as a Financial Controller and Senior Business Consultant. She holds a degree in Economics from the Hamburg University, an MBA from Newcastle Business School, and a postgraduate degree in Public Finance Management from the University of London.
