Daniella Kwayu is a financial economist, entrepreneur and impact investment expert currently serving as an Economist and National Program Officer at the Embassy of Switzerland in Tanzania. In this role, she manages the Innovation for social change project and leads the setup and management of the Daraja Impact Fund, a Swiss investment vehicle supporting sector agnostic impact enterprises in Tanzania and the Impact Linked Fund (ILF ESA 2.0) focused investing in Climate impactful enterprises. She also represents Switzerland in supporting the AfroGreen ClimAccelerator under the Westerwelle Foundation and the Tanzania Startup Association and the efforts towards the development of the Tanzania Startup Policy working to create a more enabling environment for startups, SMEs and social enterprises in the country.

With over 12 years of experience across finance, agriculture, insurance, oil & gas and media. Daniella has worked with major multinationals including AON Insurance, Stanbic Bank and Shell Exploration and Production in Tanzania.

Beyond her work in policy and impact investing, she is a co-founder and investor in several ventures including Phema Agri, an agri-tech company and Adanian Labs, a venture building company focused on tech-driven solutions in key sectors.

Daniella holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from SUNY Plattsburgh (New York) and a Masters degree in Economics (Financial Economist) from Carleton University (Ottawa, Canada). She is passionate about youth empowerment and actively mentors and invests in young entrepreneurs driving innovations in Africa.
