TIIF 2025 is an invitation-only gathering designed for a curated audience of investors, government officials, impact-driven entrepreneurs, and ecosystem enablers committed to advancing sustainable growth and innovation in Tanzania. High-impact organizations wishing to pitch or exhibit at TIIF 2025 will be selected in collaboration with enterprise support organizations, ensuring that the most promising ventures gain access to the event.

Criteria for Startups & Entrepreneurs Inclusion

1. Business Stage

Must have at least one year of operation and post-revenue status.

The startup must be in the Early, Seed, or Growth stage:

  1. Early Stage: The business has a prototype or minimum viable product (MVP), is testing market fit, and may have initial revenue but is not yet fully established.

  2. Seed Stage: The business has a validated product or service, initial market traction, and is generating revenue but is still refining its business model.

  3. Growth Stage: The business has a proven business model, consistent revenue streams, a growing customer base, and is scaling operations.

2. Business Model & Value Proposition

  • Addresses a specific problem with a well-defined solution.

  • Demonstrates a unique competitive advantage (e.g., technology, pricing, business approach).

  • Has a scalable and financially sustainable business model with clear revenue generation potential.

3. Market Traction & Customer Validation

  • Has an existing customer base with active users or clients.

  • Demonstrates evidence of market demand (e.g., consistent sales, signed contracts, or partnerships).

4. Financial Health & Investment Readiness

  • Maintain basic financial records (Profit & Loss statement, cash flow statement, balance sheet).

  • Has a clear funding need and an investor-ready pitch deck outlining financial projections and capital utilization.

  • Has previously raised funding OR is actively seeking investment with a structured fundraising strategy.

5. Team & Governance

  • Led by an experienced and committed founder or management team.

  • Clearly defined roles within the team with at least one full-time key decision-maker.

  • Operates under transparent governance and compliance structures (e.g., advisory board, financial reporting practices).

6. Impact & Sustainability

  • Generates measurable social, environmental, or economic impact (e.g., job creation, climate resilience, improved livelihoods).

  • Aligns with at least one Sustainable Development Goal (SDG).

7. Legal & Compliance Readiness

  • Registered business in Tanzania with relevant licenses and permits.

  • Comply with tax regulations and legal requirements in its sector.
